Did you know that the United Sates Olympic Committee pays our athletes for winning medals at the Olympics? Michael Phelps for example made $200,000 this week for his 8 golds. Oh, and a MILLION DOLLAR bonus from Speedo. Just proving that hard work does pay off.

And with all of the world watching the broadcast stations owe him big time for their ratings. Not many things keep me up night after night but I had to see what he would do. He has made the 2008 Olympics amazing!. The men's swim team has been great all week. My only complaint is the blonde interviewer. Some of her questions and comments bugged beyond believe. "what were you thinking when you won your race"- how about SWIM as fast as I can you ditz. I did have to watch just to get a chuckle out of the interviews.
